﴾24﴿ Huwal Laahul Khaaliqul Baari 'ul Musawwir; lahul Asmaaa'ul Husnaa; yusabbihu lahoo maa fis samaawaati wal ardi wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem

﴾24﴿ Allah alone is the Creator, the Originator, and the Shaper. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him, and He alone is the Almighty, the All-Wise

[24] These attributes also point to Allah’s complete control and power: "Al-Khāliq" — derived from khalq, meaning to measure or determine precisely, as in “He created death and life”. It can also mean “He decreed,” or it may refer to forming a physical body from a drop of fluid (as in human creation). "Al-Bāri’" — the One who creates each thing distinct and separate, giving everything its unique form and nature. "Al-Muṣawwir" — the One who gives shape, appearance, and form to the face and limbs, designing every being in perfect proportion. "Lahu al-Asmā’ al-Ḥusnā" — this is also an attribute of Allah, mentioned in a comprehensive form. The Asmā’ here refer to Allah’s attributive names in the form of active participles (ism fā‘il), descriptive attributes (ṣifah mushabbahah), and superlatives (ism tafḍīl). In the Qur’an, there are 92 non-possessive names and 26 possessive names. Beyond these, many are mentioned in authentic aḥādīth. The number of beautiful names (Asmā’ Ḥusnā) is not restricted to a fixed count. The well-known hadith stating that Allah has ninety-nine names means that the special reward mentioned — “Whoever enumerates them will enter Paradise” — applies to those 99 names specifically. In another ṣaḥīḥ hadith, it is mentioned: > Whoever recites three times in the morning and evening: “A‘ūdhu billāhi as-samī‘ al-‘alīm min al-shayṭān al-rajīm”, then recites these three verses (the last three of Surah Al-Hashr) once, Allah appoints 70,000 angels to pray for him, and if he dies that night or day, he dies the death of a martyr. اللَّهُمَّ ارزقْنَا موتَ الشهادةِ في سبيلِك O Allah, grant us the death of a martyr in Your path.
