َقَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ 1306 القمر

َ وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ ﴿۵۱﴾ وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِي الزُّبُرِ ﴿۵۲﴾ وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُسْتَطَرٌ ﴿۵۳﴾ إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَهَرٍ ﴿۵۴﴾ فِي مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَ مَلِيكٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ ﴿۵۵﴾

﴾51﴿ Wa laqad ahlaknaaa ashyaa'akum fahal min muddakir
﴾52﴿ Wa kullu shai'in fa'aloohu fiz Zubur
﴾53﴿ Wa kullu sagheerinw wa kabeerin mustatar
﴾54﴿ Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa nahar
﴾55﴿ Fee maq'adi sidqin 'inda Maleekin Muqtadir

﴾51﴿ And indeed, We destroyed your counterparts, so is there anyone who will take heed
﴾52﴿ And everything that these people do is recorded in the scrolls of the angels
﴾53﴿ And every small and great deed is recorded
﴾54﴿ Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and rivers
﴾55﴿ In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Most Powerful

[51] This is a mention of another act of divine control, and it is a worldly warning.
[52,53] In these two verses, two more acts of Allah’s control are mentioned.
The meaning of "Zubur" is the scrolls of the angels (the noble recorders — Kirāman Kātbīn), and this is the stronger opinion.
"Small and great" (صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ) refers to all people, their deeds, sins — in fact, everything, whether minor or major.
"Mustaṭar" (مُسْتَطَرٌ) means written in the Preserved Tablet, which is the Book of Decree.
From this, the concept of divine decree is established.
