[57,58] This is a warning of the Hereafter. (الْآزِفَةُ) is one of the names of the Day of Judgment, meaning "that which is approaching," and it is near to the people.
[59,60,61] This rebuke is regarding the denial of the Qur’an. The "hadith" here refers to the Qur’an itself, and four evils of the deniers are mentioned.
(وَأَنْتُمْ سَامِدُونَ) — the meaning of samūd includes turning away, heedlessness, arrogance, engaging in amusement and play, and composing songs and poetry in the manner of chants.
This indicates that responding to the Qur’an with chants and entertainment is the behavior of disbelievers.
[62] This conclusion relates to the entire surah. Once it is established that the proof of this Messenger is revelation, and that what you have is mere speculation and following desires—then it is also established that Allah the Exalted is the One who grants blessings and has sent the Messenger and the Qur’an with truth. Therefore, it becomes obligatory upon you to perform prostration and all acts of worship exclusively for Allah the Exalted.
(لِلَّهِ) – The lām here denotes exclusivity. This is because even the polytheists used to prostrate to Allah, but along with Him, they also prostrated to their other deities.
(وَاعْبُدُوا) – This is general after the specific mention, and the word "لِلَّهِ" is also implied here, meaning: worship only Allah.
